Trailtalk® Park City launches TrailtalkRX: conservative medicine for active, functional individuals.

June 30, 2020 by Your Emotional Sherpa®

Trailtalk Park City introduces new ways to meet the mental health needs of the Park City community during the COVID19 pandemic.  While the world continues to experience ongoing social distancing & economic uncertainty, many highly functional individuals find themselves struggling with anxiety, depression, and other mood changes that require medical intervention.

TrailtalkRX takes a scientific approach to the human genetic signature and embraces the latest advances in the industry to help qualify patients that will benefit from this treatment path. TrailtalkRX believes that we cannot ignore the science behind how powerfully intricate and important our brains are to our emotional wellbeing.

“Technology changes in every industry, and mental health is no different. We encourage our community to invest in their mental health and be open to new ideas and concepts.  Think of how often you update your computers and phones, buy new gear for your outdoor activities due to the latest advancement… When was the last time you had an emotional tuneup and learned what was available for your mental health?”  asks Allison Page, founder of Trailtalk.

Trailtalk Park City remains dedicated to offering outdoor, socially distanced Walk and Talk™ sessions to help clients recalibrate their internal compasses.  TrailtalkRX adds additional medicinal support if necessary.

###

Trailtalk® was founded in 2010 in Park City, Utah, with the mission to destigmatize mental health care. Trailtalk offers an alternative solution to traditional office/couch therapy, with their signature Walk and Talk™ sessions on local trails, parks, and paths.  A licensed therapist will meet you for an outdoor session along with their “Therapy on the Fly’” support van.  By taking therapy off the couch and onto the trail®, they enable their clients to experience the healing power of nature. Trailtalk now has 5 Trailheads (aka offices) in Utah and 1 in Colorado.  Trailtalk Park City accepts most major insurance carriers.  Learn more on trailtalk.com.

Trailtalk is Resuming Walk & Talk Sessions in Some Locations

May 28, 2020 by Your Emotional Sherpa®

Please contact your Trailtalk location and therapist to find out if they are offering this option.

Thank you for continuing to prioritize your emotional wellbeing during this challenging time. We are tentatively planning to resume doing our signature Walk and Talk appointments around June 1. This date is subject to change at any time and we will do our best to keep you informed. The availability of Walk and Talks will be up to the discretion of each therapist meaning some therapists may continue to offer Telehealth for a while longer. In office appointments will not be available until further notice but we will continue to evaluate a plan to reopen the office as circumstances continue to evolve.

In our efforts to protect the health and safety of our clients and staff and to remain in compliance with state, county, and DOPL regulations, the following will apply to our Walk and Talk appointments when they resume:

Walk and TalkTM Protocol:

1. Both Therapist and Client will need to wear a mask or suitable face covering at all times during the appointment. Trailtalk® is unable to supply masks, so clients will need to provide their own. If a client arrives at the appointment without a mask, the appointment can be done over the phone or Telehealth as an alternative during the scheduled time slot. If the client declines an alternative, they will be charged for a late cancellation.

2. Therapist and Client must maintain 6 feet of distance at all times. This means walking on sidewalks is not an appropriate option. Therapists will choose a trail or paved area, or a park to sit at that will allow for 6 feet of distance and maintain confidentiality.

3. No physical contact between Therapist and Client. This includes handshakes or other physical contact, borrowing phones, and accepting payment. All payments must be done through TheraNest.

4. Therapists and Clients are advised to use hand sanitizer or wash hands thoroughly before and after each session.

We wish you the best and hope for everyone’s continued health and safety. Thank you again for your patience as we navigate these changes.

Trailtalk® launches new location in Salt Lake City.

January 21, 2020 by Your Emotional Sherpa®

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Join Trailtalk®, the leaders in taking therapy off the couch and onto the trail for the grand opening of its Salt Lake City location.

Trailtalk® Salt Lake City, owned by Morgan Gonzales is hosting an event January 24, 2020 at Hopkins Brewing Company (1048 E 2100 S) from 4:00-8:00pm.

Come on by and See, Hear, Feel, Smell and Taste the excitement of this novel style of mental health care Trailtalk® is growing across Utah.

In 2010, Trailtalk® opened the doors of the traditional therapy office and shed light on the shame and stigma of mental health care access for active functional folks. We’ve been walking and talking in the great outdoors ever since.

Trailtalk®SLC meets you where you are, on or off the trail. We travel all over the Wasatch Front using nature as our office. Meet us at a park or path near your home, or workplace for what we call signature walk and talks.

Trailtalk® offers active, functional folks Emotional Tune-Ups for those times in life when talking to a friend, or family member isn’t enough. When we get sick, we seek medical attention. It doesn’t mean we are terminally ill; we just need some intervention to get us back to our healthy norm. Same with our emotional selves. Sometimes life hits us hard, and we need support. It doesn’t mean we are mentally ill and nonfunctional. It just means we need to call our closest Trailtalk® trailhead™ (AKA for office) and schedule a walk and talk with a professionally trained therapist.

Move your body, Clear your mind. ®

The Winter inversion extending across the Wasatch Front and Back is a mood killer. Rise above the bad air for your next therapy session.

We have trailheads™ in the Salt Lake, Park City, Heber Valley, and Provo. Call us at 435-513-2715 or go to our website trailtalk.com and request an appointment.
